Don’t tip-toe around tipping

British Prime Minister David Cameron hit the headlines after failing to leave a tip while on holiday in Italy.

Tips can be tricky, and, if you're not careful, you could end up either embarrassing yourself or causing offence to another party.  For example,  the Japanese are pretty clear cut when it comes to tips. Any monies left are more likely to cause offence than gratitude. The number stated on the bill is what you should pay. No more. No less.

So, what's the correct number? 10%? 15%? 18%? And what if service is included? How much should you tip then?
